If there’s one thing that Cameron, Texas knows - it’s food! Savor a taste of Texas from award winning ‘que at Hecho En Texas & Circle S BBQ to top wines grown at En Gedi Vineyards. At Central Avenue Bistro & Bob’s Steakhouse, you’ll find perfectly cooked steaks and maybe catch a live show! You can never go wrong with local favorites like a chili cheese dog from Tex Miller’s Hamburgers or a sopapilla latte from Cloud Nine Coffee. Cameron doesn’t have a big box store or a mall, but what we have is even better - a collection of locally owned businesses with unique inventory you won’t find at just any store. If you’re in the Christmas spirit, visit The Shop on Houston or Cameron Farm & Ranch for Christmas decor and gifts. Stop in The Bling Box Boutique for all things fashion. For home furnishings, browse Denio’s or Cameron Furniture & Appliance. Find a one-of-a-kind piece at 1st Street Gallery or General Mercantile Antiques You can even take home a taste of Cameron with some mouthwatering premium angus steaks from the 44 Farms Retail Center. Anderle Lumber Company not only carries lumber and hardware, but also specialty gifts items.

What to Do

Small town life is all about slowing down, enjoying moments of relaxation & connecting with others. Hang out with locals while you treat yourself to a service at our nail salons - MK Nails & Isabella Nails - or get an old fashioned shave at Good Vibes Barbershop. If you really want to relax, book a massage at 1st Street Aesthetics. History buffs will love taking a drive around town to see historic homes, the Milam County Museum & Jail of 1895, and Milam County Courthouse. Don’t forget to visit the Milam County Old Town Cameron and Railroad Museum at it’s new location, featuring the Polar Express To experience the great outdoors, book a guided hunt with 50X Ranch & Arrowhead Outfitters Hogs, explore Wilson-Ledbetter Park, one of the 12 parks in the city, or hit the links at Cameron Country Club.
